After 2 years and 2 dealer repairs I had a set of carbotech pads along with new rotors installed on my 2014 ls 460 f sport. The brakes are more responsive to the pedal but best of all they don't squeal and it is now a complete pleasure to drive my car.
I wanted to get mine done with the carbotech. But with only 30K miles on a 2011 should I also replace the rotors if still in good shape?
I wouldn't replace them if it wasn't necessary. Do you have Brembos on your 2011?
Yes, Brembos on the front. Already had the dealer replace, helped with the squeal but still comes back now and then.
But the wheels on the 2011 sport are really hard to clean and the extra dust makes it worse.

I'm in the same position (major squealing at certain times): What do I ask the dealer to do? What type of pads? Front/rear/both?
Going in tomorrow to get the brake squeal fixed. I asked the service tech to give me info on what type of pad, etc. He said that it's a diff. design that dissipates heat and thereby reduces the glaze that creates the squeal.
if you have the 2010 ultra luxury, and appearance package with the chrome 19" wheels, do you have the brembo brake set up? this is my first lexus and I am unsure?
I switched to the powerstop like a few mention in this thread. The dust is reduced by a lot however I still get alitte squeals every now and then. I only had the rotors resurface and replace the pads. Next time I'm going to swap out the rotors and pads hopefully the noise will be gone completely.
