Not very... They went to such care to avoid hitting an adjacent car that the entire process takes way too long. You are much better off just parking the car yourself.

When I was shopping for my LS I cross shopped it with a few makes and models. After hitting the internet and Consumers Report I was very frustrated that I knew more, or at least more details than the sales staffs of most dealers. Options, color combos, etc, were the biggest issues for the sales staffs.
Having said all that, I ended up buying a CPO from Lexus of Naperville, and they knew their stuff. Also, as part of the buying experience on delivery day you spend about an hour with a delivery specialist who goes through a detailed tutorial on the vehicle. The guy knew his stuff and I loved it. How to get to the spare, where the tow hook is stored, and where you put it, you name it we covered it. He even paired my phone to the Bluetooth. Also, the intersection nearest my home was already programmed into my Nav. They were smart enough to not use my exact addy for safety reasons. I'm sure lots of folks don't even know that you can have more than one destination and can even change the order. Needless to say, I was impressed and very appreciative of the experience.

Hilarious! Some of the sales reps and dealers have no clue what they have on their lot. They just wing it when you start asking questions about options etc, then you get a bunch of BS and wasting your time. That is why it's important to learn as much as you can about packages, features etc when looking so you are prepared.

Salesmen move from manufacturer/dealer to manufacturer/dealer. They usually know HOW to sell, but don't necessarily know WHAT they're selling. Some dealerships (one chain in particular here in BC), fires their lowest producing salesperson at the end of every month. where does he go? Yep to another dealer, likely selling a completely different brand. I was fortunate with this recent purchase. My salesman was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. A genuinely nice and accommodating person too. He too paired my family's phones into the car's Bluetooth system and offered to enter the home addy (I declined). With horror, I also forgot to grab my duty bag from my car trunk that I traded in. I called him on his cell phone on his day off and he offered to go on his own time to the dealership and put it in safe-keeping until I could come in the next day.

Congratulations!! after owning four 7 series, I too am amazed that the vehicle offers so much! Bet your glad you dumped the beemer 
No more worries about the dashboard lighting up like a xmas tree after a sharp turn and now you can rest easy and laugh about not seeing that smile on your service managers face as you drive your car in to get serviced and he's thinking, here's a couple grand, lol. Far as buying my car, I could have cared less what they knew, heck I don't even know what some of my buttons are, I only need three things, the gas pedal, the shifter and a clear path to drive till the wheels fall off, enjoy!!!

That's funny you guys are talking about the hold button. I really hadn't noticed it until just last week (after about a month of owning the car). Now I can't wait to use it, like I want traffic to stop. It does have one drawback though. While I was in my garage, I was trying to park a little closer to the back of the garage and the hold feature wasn't turning off (since it was in hold mode). So I'd have to lunge a little forward hoping it wouldn't lunge into my wall. Gotta remember to turn it off in those "inches" situations if that makes sense.
