David -- Did you have any problem getting the old pieces off, or did you simply pry them off with your fingers? I"m considering installing the new pieces to see if it helps minimize the wind noise on my new LS600hL, but don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

I'm not David, but i have done this before!

Just pry them off riknchar! My left one snapped in half because i pulled a little to fast, but the right side came off perfectly. use a spatula or something if you can't get your fingers underneath. . .

Use a PLASTIC spatula! You don't want to scratch anything!

Perfect! That's what I thought, but it's good to hear it verified by someone who has actually done it.

I wonder what my local Lexus dealer would charge to "professionally" install the new wind deflector? Since I just bought the car from them (CPO), I'll bet I could talk them into doing it for cheap (maybe free), since it's such an easy fix.

$40 or so with shipping from Sewell, and $5 or so from the local hardware store for 5-minute epoxy was all it took for me. I did the jmcraney fix with the sealant, but then epoxied the new triangles in.

believe me, $45-$50 is better than riding around in a $#itty ES350 like i've been doing for the last few days!

Sounds smart to me! Although I dropped my LS600 off last night for a few warranty items and ended up getting a 2011 200h for a loaner -- talk about a world of difference between two cars!!! So I'd gladly take your S****y ES350 over my even junkier 200h loaner anyday

lol!

Well after putting about 300 miles on this ES in the last 4 days, the hard plastic center console is driving me nuts and making me ashamed of Lexus.

I can also see why somebody buying in that price range would go straight to a Kia or Hyundai to be honest. . .

What year is the ES? I was looking at them before I bought the LS. Guess I'm glad I didn't

Wow, nice look. Found these using the part number on the first page on a Japanese site for $11 each but, $13 shipping to the US, it came to $37 shipped, just ordered them today, I was going to do the jmcraney fix (thanks for to jmcraney for coming up with this great find) but, I think this will do a minor update as well as fix the wind problem on my 2007.

http://jp-carparts.com/ is where I got them and looking around at reviews of the site, not a lot of reviews but, the ones they have were really good.

GO here...
http://jp-carparts.com/lexus/partlist.php?maker=lexus&type=431150&cartype=3&fig=7503

On that page do a search for
67496-50030
67495-50030

Then click "add inquiry" do that for both, fill out the form and they will send you a email based on stock if they are available and a link to pay via paypal (your covered if they scam you, and I paid via credit card so double covered)

On they at $11.29 now... I got my invoice in and they were $11 each.

I know this is a old thread but, it is a nice look.

Edit: Ordered on the 10th, got a email today, going to have on them on the 15th, wow quick shipping from Japan.

Edit 2: Got them today, OMG shipping from KANSAI - JAPAN, DHL, They shipped it on 13th.. and I got them today (14th), well worth the $13 shipping...Shocked, I expected to take 2-3 weeks at least. I'll install them this weekend.

Well done. I did this DIY almost 3 years ago and they still look new. They're pretty too! Lol.

The question is, will it fit our cars and I think it might if this link below is correct.
Edit: 12/5/2013 It's a perfect fit.

http://blog.livedoor.jp/ptsjapan/archives/51287729.html

I do not know if it will be any benefit since we don't have the matching rear tail lights that has the other stabilizing fin but I think it's worth a shot for $40.

I have done the JMcRaney fix and it helped quiet a bit but I do still hear some turbulence. I believe these stabilizing fins is the Lexus fix which might smooth turbulent air that might be the root of the problem.
Did you still know where to get them since Swell no longer selling it? Thank!!

The shipping cost for me is 20 on the invoice. Did you select shipping method when you place the order?

It's the way you need to do it. Select item, add to query, and then select the others and do the same. Then submit it. Fill out the information and they get back to you within 24 hours (week days) and let you know if they have stock, with an invoice. You click on the link, put the full price that of the invoice in paypal, pay it and 48 hours later you will get a shipping notification. At least that is how it worked for me.

To be honest with you I dont remember but, they shipped with DHL and I would ot gotten the cheapest method...If they took a week or 4 weeks, it was not a crazy rush for me.

It came to $13 for shipping to 06339, maybe because your in CA ?
