Default Head light issue

My passenger head light cuts out sometimes. I have to switch the lights off then on and it'll turn on. Any ideas? Bulb or balyst?

Sounds like you are experiencing "end-of-life cycling" of one of your headlight lamps. This is a common phenomenon that occurs in all varieties of High Intensity Discharge lamps as they near the end of their life. In other words, your bulb is bad!

This problem has been discussed several times in this forum. There have been many reports of bad bulbs but I don't recall a single report of a bad ballast.

As JM said, sounds like the end of your bulb. Just remember to change them both since the other might not be far behind.
