Howdy all..

From reading the site for the past few months, I got the idea that air suspension came only on the L model of the LS460.

But then I saw a base model on Cars. com., (Lexus of Richmond, 2010), with the button that says "Height" on it.

Could air suspension be ordered on a non-L model?

AFAIK the SWB did not come with air suspension, but that may have changed w/ the later year models.

Maybe if you provide us the link to the listing?

I know for sure they offered air on swb models in 2010 mainly for the Sport version..check out the FAQ sticky thread for the various air suspension and model info threads that will show you what console buttons to look for while shopping since many of the online ads don't call it out in the description. .its all about the buttons

There is a 2009 SWB AWD at the local Rove dealer that has factory air. Maybe it came in 08/09? I seem to recall seeing it on certain 08's in my search, since that is what I am looking for as well - 2008/09 SWB with factory air. L is ok also though

Lexus offered A/S as an option to SWB models in 09, check the F&A sticky for details.

I believe it also came on all AWD models.

.... I/m in the very early stages of LS460 shopping...trying to develop a mental checklist of things to consider..... have decided I do not want the air suspension....

It does not come standard on the AWD, but is an option. I have a 2012 LS AWD and I looked until I found one that I liked without A/S. I have read too many comments about the problems and the huge expense to replace, so I opted not to purchase one with that option.

I myself is in the market for 08-10 LS 460L. Why did you decided not to get A/S? Is it due to problems and expense in the future?
I test drove LS 460L with air suspension and one without A/S. The one with A/S feels so much smoother. Like a limousine. But that's my first test drive.

Do majority of member here are against factory A/S? I just want the pros and cons so I dont have any regrets on my purchase.

I am wondering the same thing. I'm also in the market and trying to decide if I can live with out the A/S. I love the ride and don't want to wish I had it down the road...weighing all these options are beginning to be a lil nerve racking!

My main concern was future expense....but I'm a ways from buying and I may change my mind if I decide to buy a very long extended warranty with the car....
