Noob looking to buy an LS460...few questions!
Hey All, I have spent some time reading the old threads and the FAQ here while searching 07-08 cars and think I have found anwsers to most of my questions but am still wondering how rare are certain color/option combos?
I would like a starfire white L with beige interior. I see there does not seem to be a lot of these, also most of the cars that are heavily optioned seem to be black or also have charcoal interior.
How rare is a white / beige L with executive package and every other option? How much of a price premium would you put on that? ( I know a bit subjective!)
Thanks!

Starfire Pearl is a hard color to find, from what I was told by me dealer Lexus produces more silver and black per year than the other colors. Now a rare one is Starfire Pearl with black interior loaded, the thing is people with SP tend to keep them. Last a broker told me they do sale white LS460's for a higher price due how rare they are seen in the market, but that's here in GA and I thought he was tripping with that comment. Keep looking with the patience of a monk, I'm sure something will pop up.

I am not a fan of the executive package but its a personal preference. I believe that the recline is for the passenger side of rear seat.. Unless you plan to have a chaffeur (in which case you won't be buying a used car ), not sure that exec package is a big deal. I had two LS 600HLs - both nieman marcus editions, without exec package. My friend bought the 600hl with exec seating and he was not fond of the exec package.
Anyway - rather than the exec package, I would suggest that you try to find a 600HL. Its a far superior car to the 460L and the price difference in used market is not significant (price difference new was about $30k, I think).
I and others have posted elsewhere on this forum, regarding the superiority and benefit of buying a 600Hl vs 460l. BTw, i sold one of my 600HLs and NO, the 2nd one is not for sale..

Thanks for the input, I actually found a white car with tan interior and exec package, but alas it is more than I want to spend....and since I am paying cash I gotta keep the car under 30.
I may just look for a non L with a few options and some more miles to keep the price down!
600HL, your comments are interesting as I have looked a bit online and the 600H does seem to go pretty cheap, my concerns are the battery (when it goes does the car default to gas?) and performance wise it does not seem to stack up to the 460 despite having more HP.
I know there are some things like the LED dash and maybe some other small interior stuff but what else sets the 600 apart? I will search around and see if I can find a comparo on the two!
Thanks!

Tee,
Funny you should say that, Starfire Pearls are all over the island on Guam! I've seen at least six on the road and a few more sitting on dealer lots. I don't see any 600s though. But you know what they say... as soon as you get a car, you start seeing them everywhere.
glenns,
My uncle had the executive package and he said it was mostly wasted money. As lexus600hl said, unless you have a chaffeur, you won't be using that feature all that much. That said, I would still try to find a LWB. I have coworkers fighting for the back seat instead of shotgun when I drive.
