Default LS460 Cooling seats just aren't that cool. I could hardly feel them

I used to have a 2006 GS300 with higher mileage and my cooling seats were ice cold compared to the ones in my 2007 LS460. At certain times I can barely even feel the "cool"

Anything I can do to fix or improve this?

You can change the seat filters out to see if that improves air flow, but remember the seats are pulling interior air through the seats. They are not true A/C cooled seats like other brands and the 2013 LS.

I've done some research and there doesnt seem to be ANY filters in the seats in the LS460 models. Only the previous generation LS430 had these filters in the seats

I don't really seem to feel mine, and can't tell any difference when the temp dial is changed.

I felt the ones in my 2006 Lexus gs300. If anything the 2007 LS460 should be much better or at least equal to a cheaper model, a year older, with higher mileage

In a previous thread on this subject some feel the seats don't really cool. I know I can barely feel mine. We just had a heat wave here and I couldn't tell that the dial was turned to full cool.

The LS460 seats are actually cooled by more than just recirculated air. They use thermoelectric-based cooling and heating similar to a solid-state cooler.

Go to the following site and follow the "Vehicles Featuring Amerigon's CCS" link and you will see the LS listed.

http://amerigon.com/

Some posts claim that the AC needs to be on for the seats to cool to the max. It is also important to not have anything blocking the back of the seat at the bottom as that is where the heat is exhausted (and not a good place to put the ice cream on a grocery shopping trip).

Well I have to say I can feel my seats cool even after being very hot, they are a lot better than the LS430 cooled seats.

I feel more ventilated than cooled..But I just turn the AC on with the ventialted seats it minimizes back sweat. Does the job but of course could be more efficient

I hate cooled seats. Make me feel like I peed in my pants even when I haven't! Wife likes them, though. Go figure.

I have had a 2007 and 2011 ls and both of them the seats didn't cool that much, there is a small measure of cooling.

I have turned mine on max cool the day I brought them home from the dealer and I left that setting on for 3 straight years. It's not that good.

My friends has a F150 truck and his is far superior to mine, which is quite frustrating, especially in the Texas heat.

Is the 2013 really better, or will it just be more of the same?

Haha!

Mine feel more like there's holes in my pants. Definitely more of a "ventilation" feeling rather than a "cooling" one.

A trick I have been using since I have owned these cars (That works for me) to really get the seat cool when I press the Pollen Removal button circled in the pic. Some how forces cooler air thru the seat, if the seat is already cool you can feel the temp drop and if you have shorts on you can feel the air coming thru.

I did today and this trick still works so give it a shot.
