Seems like the LS460 has run its course. Now do you purchase the best of the series with many bugs sorted or wait for the all new 2015 and be the first to find the new bugs.
The expectation is the new generation power train will have more torque....blah blah....new generation styling...whatever that will be and more/better remote/internet interface. Lets see.
But the current F has some nice features like the Torsen differential that actually works very well and some crisp styling too. Interior is very sharp, a little more masculine than elegant with the black and metal look.
These are Lux cars, smooth ride, quiet, and adequate power. Still ahead of the competition on reliability and cost of ownership. Likely to stay in this market segment for many years as a benchmark. You could get the F now and ride out the first year of the 2015 release then trade Up?

If you're going to buy it and keep it a long time ssrfenton has a point about getting one with all the bugs worked out.

Not a fan of the new front end on the LS. I'd dump the 2 you have now and get this

But that's just me!

I also have an 07 LS 460 L and instead have an 08 Z06. I test drove the NEW LS Sport but let be honest putting the word Sport in the title and adding a few items does not make it a SPORT CAR. I would not trade in your GTR because you miss it once you sold it. I do not think the current LS is not an larger enough upgrade to get rid of my 2007. Good luck with your decision.

Hey guys,
Just a quick update. I ultimately decided to go with a 2014 Mercedes Benz CLS550 - Steel Grey Metallic color.
Reason: Lexus wouldn't budge on their pricing of their cars. They had one used one with 22,000 miles on it and yet they still wanted $78,000 for it.
In addition, they didn't give me fair value for my cars.
Mercedes took their car from $85k to $78,300, and gave me top dollar value for my cars.

I was looking at buying one of these before. For the same reasons, the dealer didn't want to move and they played games instead was the reason I opted out of MB. I think a lot of influence on what car you buy in your area pertains to the dealer themselves. I like the Benz vehicles, but they just option the heck out of them and make you pay through the nose for it. But I did love the test drive and interior of the 550. Beautiful ride.

Having owned many LS models, most recently a 2012 LS Sport edition, I would not trade up for the new front grill. Mind you the interior is so much nicer on the LS than it used to be, they got rid of that awful plastic cowl around the NAV thank goodness. However, the rest of the car looks the same with upgraded front. Full stop. Driving wise, hmmmm, how can I say it, a bit of a Yawn for me vs. say the BWM or some other high performance Sedan. No way I would trade up but, as one person posted recently, if you want it, do it. Why listed to us. For me, I"m now into Lexus Hybrid technology as it makes the car so Sporty. Love the GS450H and even the RX450H. Don't get me wrong, LS is a great car. However, it is not really an exciting car to drive but that is just my opinion. Depends what you want. It is comfortable, smooth and reliable. The best of the best. I find the F Sport concept on an LS a little of a paradox. I dont' think its fish or fowl. Not too soft but not too sporty. Simply an LS with some upgrades. Again, just my opinion but I'd wait to see what Lexus will do with the all new LS coming out soon. Good luck with your decision.

I agree that on the LS, this is more of an F-Sport appearance package (The IS-F is an F-Sport car). For me, the interior on the F-sport easily beat the BMW 7-series and was at least a tie with the Audi A8.
