Default Help me. Best oil for LS 460 2007

Hi, everybody
I am going to use Mobil 1 0W-40 for my Lexus LS 460 2007.
Is there any problems with my car?
My place is very hot with terrible traffic.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks. But in Vietnam, we usually use Mobil 1 0W-40 or 5W-30. What is better? We only two choices.

Mobil 1 0W-40 is fine. No, it's more than fine. Under the conditions you are describing, it is better than the recommended viscosity. Go with it!

I have owned numerous vehicles over the past years and have recently joined the Lexus Team. I can honestly say it is a real sleeper by all accounts and worth every dollar of praise it gets. Personally I have used Royal Purple Oil and lubricants in all my cars, jeep, trucks, etc. I am currently using Royal Purple in my Lexus and recommend it highly. The technical reports will show of all oils and synthetics it has the least abrasion on your moving parts. Royal Purple. Worth trying especially if you plan to keep your car. If not then it really does not matter.

I use their Signature Series and changed it once last year. I only put on 10K last sumer, and changed before storage. Even though it's good for 25K I still change it between 5-10K. I use in in my 4Runner and Camry as well.

Default Best Oil to use in Canada

I am in Alberta Canada and Amsoil is not readily available without paying huge shipping fees. Any Canadian Lexus owners with advice on best alternative oil and best weight or use 0W-20 as recommended? I use Mobile 1 in my Vette. Also, anyone using waterless coolant, what is your opinion? Thanks

I think basically all of the off the shelf Dexos approved Synthetic are pretty good/similar. The NOACK seems to be the buzz word for all these synthetics due to direct injection, along with protection against low speed detonation due to direct injection and these oils have it covered. Fuel dilution is another direct injection concern and it appears these dexos approved oils have stepped up their game a little bit. Even Valvoline has changed their formula, going from one of those heavy sodium based additive packages to the more standard blend of molybdenum.

I like pennzoil Platinum because of their gas to liquid base stock, but I think they're all good. The key is to find the rebates! Pennzoil has the rebate going right now, along with Rottela Gas Truck Synthetic, which is a pretty robust new oil that comes in 0W20, 5W20 and 5W30. Even Amazon Basics and Super Tech are nice group lll full synthetics (hydrocracked) with excellent add packs.

Direct injection and turbos have changed oil today...oils from ten years ago couldn't handle the demands placed on the oils of today.
