It is! I'd love to see an iPad 3 replace the nav screen and what if someone could write software to control the factory stuff the nav controlled. I'd buy it without a doubt!
to clarify, i do believe the fit and finish of the install above is excellent based on these pics, but it is just too low in my opinion and concur with broken_tsi, a retrofit to replace nav screen with a tablet would be really nice. for now, I will just go and get the ivic android emulation from Vaistech to display my Galaxy Note 2 screen on my current NAV screen..it becomes a Google Tablet at that point, just smaller screen than iPad obvously.
Looks pretty cool and the quality of the work is stellar. It looks like it could be factory. In the end though when would one use it when driving. I have the bypass and can already play movies.
