Not difficult at all. The threads on the ML+ have good instructions on the removal of the interior trim, center console shift plate, radio, and NAV units. Other than that, where you want to install the box can make it difficult. I know one other member installed behind the glovebox, which is awesome but also awesomely diffucult due to removing all that trim. Being lazy, my ML+ (and now my iVIC) are in the passenger footwell with no problems so far.

Tanabe or megan racing, but definitely go with coils, you won't regret it. I have BC coils on order with the extreme drop kit.

i want to do coilovers, but im concerned with warranty issues if any arise in the future.
i dont think the dealer will install the coilovers, and still have warranty on the suspension

anyway, whats a good price for coilovers installed, if i bought them myself and have a shop do it?.

I was thinking of the same set up but with the standard shock body but with the upgraded swift springs if I were to drop. I am curious to see if anyone has gone with the custom spring rate option. I was thinking of going with a slightly lower spring rate to get the softest ride possible.

I'm not sure if it voids warranty or not, unless they can prove that whatever went wrong with the car was caused from the modification you made. I think you can get coils for around 6-700 bucks from the forum vendors (megan racing), installation is around 200-500 bucks depending on who does it. I think the dealer charges $1200. If you are handy with a wrench you can tackle it yourself. Although, when I was installing my springs I ran to a frozen bolt and it gave me hell, LOL, so I needed professional help to diagnose Look though the vendor marketplace and PM them. They can give you a lot of useful information that you might need.

Everyone recommends the swift spring upgrade, but I just ordered the regular BC springs with higher spring rates. I prefer to have higher spring rates and lower the dampening instead of the opposite. If you lower the car to get rid of the wheel gap and have a soft spring rate, you will have more suspension movement and will risk rubbing and other problems as well. If you are not going to lower it that much you will be fine. Iv'e ridden in Shibumi1's car with his JIC coils slammed on a high dampening setting and I was surprised how smooth it rode, and I believe the JIC's come with pretty high spring rates. As always I would study the hell out of it to make you sure you get the results you want.
