here is what is happening,

if i press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator,

im sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty , espically since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.


anyone ever have this issue on your LS or any car for the matter?

Have you had any window tint work or any other work on the door that may have required removing the door panel? Sometimes wire bundle can bunch causing the door handle actuator to get stuck.Is the door handle a little tight when opening from the inside? When you arm the car, does it beep? If no beep, then the system isn't happy..

Door actuator prob took a dump. Haven't heard it on the LS but my friend's gs, all four doors are dead (failing one by one) and on the tundra they fail left and right.
Do a Google search on "Toyota door actuator" and see.

My remote's battery was weak and that happened. Replaced the battery and no issues. I would try another remote or replace the remote's battery.

yes only the front pssenger door will not unlock!, even directly from any switch in the car.

yes i had the window tint done, but the cable that moves the unlock lever moves very smoothly by hand, and yes i have beeps from oem alarm. with panel on or off the cable will only lock and not lock, thats with all the connectors installed and panel off the dorr without cables for door lock connected to panel, cable does lock, jusst not unlock.

the problem is the main controller! i checked the outputs from the main door module, unlock is not present! but car is a CPO! so it will be going in on monday! and i have a bad dr side window motor bushing, it makes a grinding noise when going up!

check ALL the fuses in the car.. i had a similar issue on the dr rear door it would only lock/unlock when shifting from park to drive and back.. nothing from remote or switch, the door closer on that door stopped working too..also power rear seats had no func turned out to be a fuse in the trunk (drivers side near taillights) that fuse also powers the trunk light (which is how it blew) removing the trunk panels i pinched the lights leads an blew the light fuse. (no biggie in my mind so i let it be thinking i'll be working in the trunk for months an i'd replace the fuse when i was done) then all sorts of tomfoolery started popping up.. some fuses share multiple control functions so start there..

thanks for the help everyone! ill be dropping car off at dealer, as i havr a presentation to do on remote starters and accessories , i might get the account there for remote start installs,and other things as well.
