Holy crap I actually really like that!! I already love the baby butt soft steering wheel we have, but I think when it starts to wear out pretty nicely, this is gonna be a nice upgrade. +1 on the definitely VIP price a well, hahaha

Man not for that price. There are companies that will do something like this for you with your existing wheel

Doesn't say if it's heated or not either. I wouldn't want to lose that. You might as well get the LS Sport wheel.

I like the way this wheel looks too, but the markup on that item is ridiculous. The LXF Design website has this wheel at approximately 105,000 yen or approximately $1,300. If you have a contact in Japan this wheel could be had for around $1,500-1,600.

Please forgive my ignorance but do people really spend $2300 + install for a steeringwheel? Wow..
Personally, I would rather leave the steering wheel intact - especially that I don't want anyone messing around with the airbag - if they made a mistake and I needed it, I might not be around to sue them afterwards? lol..
Besides, I thought that the lexus standard wheel seems very nice.. Heated and wood.. a perfect combination..

My only gripe is that I wish the steering heater button were similar to the seat heater button (which stay in the heated/cool position - they stay on after I start the car).. I dislike it that I have to turn the steering wheel heater button on, every time I turn the car on.. usually I forget..

I see no ignorance with that statement, but like I said the price quoted from OP is a clear markup from the manufacturer.

As for steering wheel replacement, it's no different than personalization of a car in any aspect. It's not for everyone, but if you want to do it, it'll come at a price. I've personally only used my steering wheel heater once, just to try it out - but is completely unnecessary for So Cal weather.

I contacted the company, JZ International, that I normally do business with overseas. I did find the steering wheel on LXF's site and the price was $1300; however, I was told that it did not include the core replacement. So I asked if I could send a core in and was told no. Oh well.

Not feeling it. I like more wood not less wood. I will admit the way the wood is set into the wheel is unique
