Default Key fob battery question

Is there anything special I have to do when changing the battery on my key fob? I got a message on my cluster saying key fob battery low and to check with the dealer. I hate how it always says check with dealer haha.

Nothing to do other than just pop a new battery in the FOB

Fellas,

I am a bit confused about this too. Sometimes when I get into my car, it will say "key fob not detected". But when i am in the car i can unlock and lock with my key. It is annoying because i just end up stting in my car for another 30 seconds, and then finally the push start will work.

Am i missing something? BTW, i have had the battery replaced once in the key fob about 3 months ago.

Thanks,

This subject has been discussed many times so instead of spending a lot of time saying what has already been said I'll just steer you to some of those discussions. If this stuff doesn't help then ask us again and I am sure someone will try to help you.

Here is a discussion thread from a different model but the keyless technology is the same. Although this didn't end on a pleasant note it might be helpful.
