IMHO a F Sport driver would find the LS too soft/boring unless the LS is bought with the adjustable suspension. On the other hand you'll have lots of torque which seems to be missing in the GS.
Also, the LS is due for total change in a year max so it might be better to save the depreciation & buy '11 or '12

I like soft and boring i'm entering midlife in about 2 years. owned 2 ESs' didn't know you could get softer than that. always wanted an LS. now i can. wifey gets the GS-F Sport and i will get an LS. wanted to wait to see what surprises the 2013 LS has for Lexus lovers. if the spindle grill looks good then i'll wait, if not then i'll get a 2012. just want to know the perks from LS owners i.e. how it drives, the technology, things to look out for i.e. headlights not so good, vibrations, noises, rattles etc. i would rather ask current owners than to go to the dealer and be handed a bunch of BS because they actually know squat about the car. this would be my 4th Lexus so i'm not new to the brand.
If 2013 is new body I dont think anyone can give an honest opinion until they saw or drove or owned one and any experience with previous model wont be applicable
But since you asked anyway I had a 2010 & it had zero issues

Yeah, wait and see what the new LS holds..either way, once they are ready for purchase, the 2010s will begin coming back off lease and you can catch a good deal on one of those #thatsMyPlan

For what it's worth the 2013 is not available and will not be until sometime this fall. From my research it will not change much. So I just recently purchased the 2012 LS460AWD. One thing to consider is the length. If you do not have ample garage space it will be a tight fit. It is almost 5 inches longer and definitely wider than the GS. The extra length goes to the longer space between the front and rear seat. I have the LS, a new 4RUNNER and a Harley Road King Classic and that takes up a lot of the garage space.

The 2013 front ends on the LX, GS and ES don't do a thing for me. There's a darn good chance the new LS will have a similar design. For that reason, I decided to get the 2012 and love it, well, except for the brake dust.

I just purchased a 2012 LS 460 Sport edition. I had heard from my sales person that very few changes were coming with the 2013 model. It was considered a refresh and would include the new spindle grill (I like the sport edition grill very well).
Also, based on what I have learned about the other 2013 models, the ML audio system will no longer read DTS, but will continue to play DVD-A. I suspect the 2013 LS will follow suit if you have any interest in playing DTS 5.1 audio (competitive format to DVD-A). The 2012 LS w/ML will play both and my collection includes both.
I'm still very curious about what changes will be in the 2013, but I just don't think it will be signficant.......

the LS460 sport is hot hot hot.
i would def go for that version unless you have someone you absolutely must chauffeur around.
obv the best advise is just to go and test drive all the versions and then you won't need to ask anyones opinion you will know 100% which one is for you.

Lexus doesn't refresh models more than once, the LS already got a substantial refresh in 2010. The LS should be all new for 2013, or if its pushed back to 2014 the 2013 will be unchanged.
