2008 LS 460 Low Beam Bulb Replacement
Taking the wheels off gives you so much room to remove the liner for access. I purchased Phillips D4S bulbs from Amazon for $49 a piece .It took me about an hour doing the passenger side and 30 minutes the drivers, clearly i was more trained after the first side...what was cool was for 100 bucks and about 1.5 hours, it was done. I also took the time to inspect the brakes and suspension hardware for any damage or wear. But the real kicker was after calling 3 dealers in my area about the cost of performing this maintenance and the quotes i got $903.00, $730, and $520. It really felt good to keep the dollars in my pocket. If you have the time, do it yourself.....it is really easy and you will pat yourself on the back.

Hi Guys,
I just replaced both of my HIDs in about an hour without removing the wheels. You can check out my YouTube video here:

Hope that can help some of you out there.

Nice.
That's tomorrow's task.

When my drivers side light went out, I thought about trying it. But I wasn't up to the task. A friend did it for me. As mentioned, it took about an hour to do the passenger side first. That's because he couldn't figure out how to clip in the thin wire clip. But the drivers side went fast. I will say that not removing the wheels made it tougher, plus my fender liners aren't quite the same any more. But, I have light!

Is the ballast recommended to be switched out when replacing the HID lights?

Buy yourself a set of fastener clips that come with a clip Tom over tool the resembles a screw driver it works well and if you end up breaking a clip or two you can replace it from you kit.

Not taking anything away from Tee but you don't have to remove the wheels or the entire liner.
Just turn the wheel in the opposite direction of the light your gonna change, remove the fasteners & you'll see the light covers.. I did it a few times already trying to decide on which bulbs to run lol..

Also is there a way to replace a burned out small bottom bulb on the front headlight?
