Default 2007-2009 And 2010-2012 Differences

In this thread you will see pics of the differences between the first run 4th gen LS and the mid life refresh of the 460. In this thread you will see pics of the differences between the first run 4th gen LS and the mid life refresh of the 460. The exterior you see a new grill, new headlamps with LED DRL’s (Headlamp washers moved to bumper), split corner side marker, new fog lamp design with new air vents on font bumper, turn signal indicators in mirrors, new taillights with amber turn signals, chrome strip on trunk lid, fatter chrome exhaust tips replaces conservative stainless steel exhaust tips. Last 2012 and on will have debadged Lexus from rear trunk lid only Lexus logo and LS460 will be shown.

Also word on the street is that Lexus will be doing another refresh rather than release the 5th gen LS (470?) untiil late 2012, but who knows Lexus tends to keep things hush on their new designs. just like in the 3rd gen mid life refresh Lexus introduced a 'Sport' version but nothing like the one for the 4th gen version. The 3rd gen sport only had badging on the fender, the 4th gen they put more effort into making stand on its own.

Thank you. Can you list the SPECS as well (just the differences)? Are you missing the second rear-end pic? Or are they the same?

The interior was refresh a tad with the new shaped buttons and a new gen 5 Nav system the cluster is the same as 07-09. They also changed the wood option to a low gloss finish and added memory seats buttons front passenger side.

I'm probably in the minority but I like the 07-09 exterior and interior better with the exception of the Nav system itself and the turn signal mirrors.

Also, the passenger side memory seats were included in 09.

Let's see:

Another thing about the MMC FACELIFT

Revised steering wheel design (for some model variants)

Then here's the color scheme for the Graphic User Interface (GUI) of the Lexus LS.

Original model (mostly dark with hints of black and blue):

MMC facelift (more white colors and a few touches of grey):

Then of course the LS Sport made its debut when the MMC facelift came out.

Also known as version SZ in Japan

and Vertex Edition in Taiwan

Then of course you have this new display (uses TFT LCD)

Standard equipment on LS600 Hybrid SWB and LWB (worldwide) and available as optional equipment on the LS460 SWB and LWB (Japan Only)

You can also scrutinize these pics (100+ pics of the MMC facelift) to your heart's content

I actually like the 07-09 front fascia. It's more upright, not as raked. Also the new center opening in the bumper actually makes the front end more generic. The LS's front end, after the refresh, looks more elongated and pointier, more ES like. Of course I'm biased since I have an 07.

I do like the new side mirrors and the new head lights. It's nice to see the two side by side, well illustrated. Thanks, Tee.

Thanks for posting T! I'm thinking I need to get my hands on a 2010-12 front bumper. That with a nice front lip will really set off my 07!!!
