Thanks for sharing Mike. I am super excited to get my next set of Vossen wheels. I am still leaning more towards the CV4 over the CV1 because it looks more like my 82s. The CV4 is like the concave version of the VVS082. I like the lips but I think the concave design will make the wheels look bigger

shaving fenders, that's probably more of a problem on how aggressive the wheels / tires are.

The 265/30/22 size seemed like a good idea at first..it appeared to clear, no rubbing was really observed, etc. But, after a long road trip and some more driving around, I realized I was in fact rubbing up in the front on the inside control arm and the outside fender edge (the small plastic piece only) Although the 265 size tire provides a slightly more thicker cushion between rim and road, I had to go down to the 245/30/22 size. The car doesn't ride much different to be honest and big ups to Discount Tire for allowing me to swap with only paying for new road hazard replacement certificates

I had a chance to put my old 265/30 size next to the new 245/30/22 size and the visual difference is actually very dramatic. On the spec sheet, it doesn't appear to be that big of a deal..but the pictures tell a different story. Too bad Continental doesn't make the 255/30/22 size. That is the true plus size for our car, but 245 will do until then.

i like the they way the 245 are smaller but they look they need to spaced out away from the car now.. good observation with the 245, just taking notes until I get my wheels in about 2 weeks..

Yep, this is why I didn't want to go 265 without seeing someone with a similar setup do it 1st. Thanks for finally clearing up that the 265's are not meant to be. Also makes me feel a little bit better that you said that there is not a real noticeable difference between the 2 sizes. BTW are you still having the rubbing in the back? I've been beating on my car lately ( sharp turns and taking a few dips faster than I should) and that rubbing in the rear is starting to really get to me. I'm not sure if it is hitting the outer part of the fender but I think like you guys mentioned before on the inner part with the sound insulation stuff. I really want to know how to get rid of this :/

I went to Pirelli because the 245 seemed so much smaller than the 295 in the rear. The 9" wheels in front work well with 255. I may go back to the Continentals after these but I keep hearing that the 245 is not rated high enough to hold the weight. I remember that was the case with my GS at 245/30/20 but the 245/30/22 has a slightly higher rating so it might be ok. I just want the higher tread life

The drop adds to that illusion but from my experience, there is not much real estate to work with up front in the wells. 255 is the absolute ideal size to match up to factory 18" overall diameter, but the DWS tire skips the 255 size FTL. A 2 or 3mm spacer might help but I would potentially rub on outside. Would have to test. Vossen front offset is 35mm..perhaps a spacer to put it at 33 or 32mm offset would work..dunno. it looks better in person with the 245. The wheel is slightly tilted in at top so that's what makes it look that way
