Default Purchase - Oil filter housing

Anyone know where I can purchase a oil filter housing for my 07 ls460? Im having a ton of problems getting it off and im afraid it will crack when I get to getting it off. Know the wrench/socket is slipping and it looks like the plastic is shot.

I got mine here a few years ago for about 16.00 - it looks like they are cheaper now. Goodluck

I emailed Brian at jowett engineering. He stated that he did not carry them any more since the cap is a own item. He gave me a part
number of 1562031060. I looked it up online and it cost about $25. He mentioned a larger housing that will fit the LS and let us use a larger filter for better protection. He is supposed to get me more details soon

That's great! Keep us inform. I think that would be a great option to those in need of changing out a stripped or cracked housing.

Brian is still working on it to make sure it will work. He has to measure some things and he's supposed to let me know.

I purchased the metal cover from Toyota this morning. It was $23.91. Oil filter was also only $3.76. I'll put it on thus weekend and see how it works.

Let us know and could you give us the part number if it works? Does it use the same filter as the LS OEM housing? Is it the same housing mentioned in Nick's post above?

Installed it today. No problems. The inside tube is a bit shorter. I ended up breaking the plastic one taking it off. Glad I had the new one to put on.
