I have been dealing with this crap for almost a decade and I have to admit I am getting sick of it. I didnt drop my car because I couldnt deal with the tire wear and going into the shops even more because they can never ever get it perfect. My continentals with the 540 tread wear rating wore down in less than a year because of bad alignment. I can only imagine what the car would do if it was dropped

Have to disagree about lowered cars going through tires faster. My Acura is lowered 2" and my alignments are solid green, no issues with tire wear. I do have a rear camber kit which essentially fixed front camber issues too. My LS on Tanabes has perfect alignment on rear, but slight out of spec in front..with a camber kit, would be zero issues. Running staggered is reducing tire life by about 25% from what i have been told.

Did you do on-car balancing, or did I misread? Is this it? http://www.butlertire.com/services.asp

I would ***love*** to have this done.

I did high speed on the car at Butler last year out of frustration and it did work, but when i needed a new balance i went to discount tire since i bought the wheels and tires from them. They provided me with a great balance without the $100 balance. They used the laser guided Coates balancer

I had a vibration that also occurred at 72. I had just put on a new set of 18" Michelin MXM4's. I had them re-balanced (road force) 3 times and the vibration was still there. It felt like the issue was on the right side but I was'nt sure. So I had them move the back rt tire to the front and the front to the back. When I re-tested the car, the vibration had mysteriously and completely disappeared.

If anyone has any idea on why the vibration disappeared, I would sure like to know.
