Default '10 vs. '11 LS460L exterior smokey granite mica=same?

I'm considering buying a '10 or '11 LS460L.The 2010 is listed as "gray" the 2011 is listed as "smokey mica gray",they appear to be different shades of gray from the pictures online.
When I do a google search of exterior colors available for each of these yrs the only color listed is "smokey granite gray" in the gray family.
are these different colors for each year but called the same color?
The 2010 is viewed online at REOMOTORS.com and the 20011 is at ALM Gwinette in Atlanta.
The 2011 in smokey granite mica is very beautiful.
anyone know if these are different or actually the same just better camera/lighting used for the 2011?
Thanks-

Default 2010 v. 2011 exterior color "smokey granite mica"=same?

Looking at 2 LS460L's,'10&'11.The 2010 is listed as gray, the 2011 as smokey granite mica. From online pictures they look destinctivly different.A google search of available exterior colors for these years shows the "smokey granite mica" for both. This is the only color in the gray family available.
Did Lexus change the color in 2011 but not the name?
The smokey granite mica definitly looks better.
Curious and confused.
Thanks any and all.....

In looking at my 2010 Lexus LS line sales booklet. The only "Gray" listed for the 2010 LS is Smokey Granite Mica.
Not sure what was offered in the 2011 model year.

There are so many variables in taking and posting photographs and then it depends on the monitor you are viewing them on. Smokey Granite Mica is the same color throughout the model years. It's a great color, I almost got it!

My research did show the Lexus color as smokey granite gray.hard to beleive from looking at the 2 cars that they are the same "color".As I mentioned, the 2010 is listed as gray but must be smokey granite as it is the only color in the gray family(it appears to dark for silver mica) and the 2011 is listed as the smokey granite mica and looks darker/deeper.
If those with knowledge know for sure that they are the same color just appear different due to camera/lighting etc....then the 2010 might be the one for me.I dont like "just gray",I love "smokey granite mica".
If anyone gets a chance to view the ads(both are on being sold on the major online car sites) let me know what you think of the color contrasts.
I'm being very particular with my search for the right color combination and options, this will be my forever car.And both are too far to drive to view in person but might have to fly out to be sure before making this big of a purchase.
Hoping to find a 2009-2011 w/the AWD,black/black or smokey granite mica/black.
If you have one or know of one let me know....

The paint code on the door jamb should ultimately settle this, but Smokey Granite Mica had been a consistent color. Lexus typically changes the name of the color whenever the formulation changes (e.g., Black Onyx and Obsidian). The results are never identical (hence the need for body shops to color "match" when refinishing), but differences shouldn't be substantial.

Now, in MY2012, Smokey Granite Mica was replaced by Nebula Gray Pearl. This was my first thought upon reading your post, but then I verified the year when the change happened.
