Well today i drove my ls in very bad snow conditions and it held up very well in snow mode .i do have snow tires .i was worried as iv read posts that the ls was bad in the snow .i think otherwise it performed as well as my ml320 SUV.
i did run into problems when i stopped on an incline but as soon as i disabled snow mode and disabled the skid control i gained traction .

33 psi all round i tried 40 psi but i did not feel secure 33 psi felt steady and grounded

Is your car AWD or RWD? I have a 2011 RWD 460L and it'd just be nice to know it can handle the snow if good snow tires are on it. I assume you have the cold weather package with heated bottom third of the windshield for the wipers.

mine is rwd and it has the cold weather pkg .I'm sure awd must be very stable.I looked at awd but the pricing was prohibitive for me .

How do you know if you have the cold weather package and what is included?

No AWD offered for the LS yet for 2007 model, so has to be RWD

If you press the Climate button, see if you have an icon on the bottom right of the screen that's a picture of a windshield with wiper and wavy line. That's the button that turns on the heater on the windshield for the wipers. The other features are a heavy duty battery and enhanced cabin heater that should be listed on the window sticker that came with the car.

I am on Vancouver Island and it looks like we had the same weather. I have an SWB AWD with winter tires (Michelin X ICE 2) and the car was amazing!! I have never felt so secure. Our drive is relatively steep right out of the garage and it felt like I was driving on dry pavement; not a hint of slipping.

At one point we were stopped on a long uphill section for over an hour due to a major accident. When traffic started moving again vehicles were spinning their wheels all around us but we just drove on without a hitch.

Very happy with these Michelin's; good grip and very, very quiet for winter tires.

These pics were taken on the coqualla on sunday I drove from vancouver to kelowna it was ugly weather but like you say the ls is great with the right tires .

Well then the Coquihalla with its 8+ percent grades is a serious incline in the summer and it must seem twice as steep in this weather. The slope I was on was nothing more than a bump compared to that
