Mileage between oil changes
I bought a used 2007 LS460 with 50,000 miles on it and got the recall done within the last month with 53,000 miles on the clock. Last week my oil change reminder has come on. Now my questions are:
1) What is the mileage legnth between scheduled oil changes? I couldn't find it in the book, just the oil type and capacity.
2) Shouldn't the oil have been changed when they had the top of my engine open during the valve spring recall?

The recommended intervals are every 6 months/5000 miles.
Since there is no oil loss when replacing the valve springs, they don't change the oil.

I heard Lexus increased mileage interval between oil changes in '10+ LS460's from 5K miles to 10K miles.
I try to keep my engine healthy. So I go with 5K-6K miles changes. Never gone longer than that. And synthetic only.

synthetic every 5K? That to me seems way too frequent for most climates, but then again, i see you are in Riyadh so perhaps that climate would call for more frequent changes. I do 10K on my Acura with Full Syn and 6K on my LS with conventional/syn blend the dealer uses.
