Default Ok, why would I get ..

..a message about contacting the dealer for Oil Filter Maintenance after I've just had the 50K service and the VSR done ( a few weeks ago) ?? I believe they changed the oil and filters w/ the 50K service, and the message has no 'yellow' or 'red' graphics with it, so ..anything to react to other than just reset it because they might have forgotten ..?

Call them and ask...
However, my bet is that the admin folks and the service folks just didn't communicate. I've frequently gotten service notifications for cars (non-Lexus) that had just been serviced or were no where near needing one.

Message was an in-car message at startup via Nav Screen ..they did change oil and filter during 50K maint last month, so I guess it's just a reset ..I doubt it's a sensor trying to tell me something's goofy with the Oil Filter ..I think I can reset this myself ..

I think you're right. They should have reset the sevice reminder after performing the service.

Make sure they actually performed the service before resetting the message.

I know that it's highly unlikely they forgot to do the oil/filter change, but just in case.

correct, they should have reset the setting in the computer but they forgot...

the computer is purely calculating from mileage (and maybe time), it has no sensors in the engine for that purpose
