Default DRL swap

Has anyone swapped the drl bulbs for led or hid bulbs.. im doin a low beam & fog swap & id like the drl & corner bulbs to match (6k or 8k undecided right now)
will there be any issues by changing to hid drl's? also i saw this pic and was wondering how this was accomplished.. can u turn off the drl's? if so how.. i may not want them on all the time..

drl is high beam at lower power. hardly will you find a bulb where at 50% wattage is still running at 50w+ which is needed to make it looks "white"

No it will only be for looks only, I did this mod on my 430 and I knew I would be losing my brights. I adjusted my low beams up a tad and did not miss them at all since they were HID. I used V-LED.com products.

V-LED has phased out the kit that I used but thery made a new improved version but not in kit form, so you will have to order what you need separately. You will need to buy two light modules to boost the half pwr to full for the LED's to work.

umm, good question, i don't really know the answer as i didn't study much in led

but from what i read, using led for drl might need another vled module or something like that. because led is on/off device (either on or off), not like normal bulbs where if power is half, it operates at lower performance. so you might need another module to regulate the power supplied to the bulbs

on the link it does say "no error", but i don't know enough to say
