Skipper Lowering Links vs. Data Systems Control Module

Skipper Lowering Links vs. Data Systems Control Module
Can anyone describe to me the difference between these two? From what I've looked into I found the following:
Skipper Lowering Links:
I've experienced suspension lowering links installed on another car (MBZ CLS55) and it utilized the oem air suspension to lower and raise the car, just the same way the Data Systems Controller would; however it seems as if you're limited to the car's OEM low/high controls without any specific settings.
Datasystems Controller:
Seems to be a digital controller coupled with an adjustment to the air ride sensors (instead of lowering links) to control the suspension adjustment. Also, reading a few recent threads, there also seems to be various settings and presets for the driver.
Conclusion:
It's pretty obvious the Data Systems Controller is a better, more controlled way to utilizing the oem air suspension; however I was curious if both could be used simultaneously or if it would be somewhat redundant.
Also, has anyone had any experience w/ the Skipper Lowering Links?

I just installed the data system last night using the English instructions from www.prestigioussociety.com
The install took me about an hour and I'm loving it. You can go almost an inch above stock height and slam it low enough to where the car wont even roll forward.
I think Data System is all you need.
Here's a pic i took last night after the install. I have it set on 8 right now. I just read the instruction to set it on "L" for super slam but haven't had a chance to do it yet.

I did a lot of reading before I went with any system to lower the car. I just thought that the money for the datasystem was too much. I found one on the forums classifieds for a little less than normal price and I have to say that if I knew then what I know now, I'd purchased one at full price. I think its worth every penny of the asking price. I was at a local Club Lexus meet this weekend and I just love having the wheels tucked in while its parked. It gives it that show look. And when Im ready to roll, a push of a button and Im back up to 5.

my lexus dealer said my 2007 ls 460l can not be adjusted. they do some workaround for 1399 and its set to one setting. Is this true or should I mention the database lowering module to him and see what he says? Is he scamming me?

i wouldn't count on asking dealership for aftermarket stuff. frankly, a lot of times they don't even know as much about the stock car itself than i do.
and 1399 for what workaround? there are only 2 ways, either with controller, or you play with the height level sensor to trick the car to lower itself
