Hi all,

Just got an 07 LS 460 and was wondering if the new 2010 LS Sport Aero Package fits. Appreciate any help.

Chances are, its a no. Start saving for a 2010 sport if that is what you want.

I talked to a few people about this... Yes u can...but u'd have to order 2010 front & rear bumpers (contact ur local dealer to match options on ur 07 to the 2010) then its simple mount body kit an paint...

and $15,000 later you could have had a real 2010. It is possible to do anything to any car, but does it make any sense? In this case, not one bit.

And paint is $400 more, then installation is another $100, then the bumpers don't fit the old pre-face lift tail lights, so they need to be changed at $700 each, plus $200 for installation, then the front bumper doesn't fit the old headlamps, so they need to be changed at $1500 each, plus install at $200, then the headlamps don't fit the old hood, so that needs to be changed at $700, plus paint at $200, plus install at $100, then you still need to buy the body kit, which lists for $5000, then it needs to be painted for $600, then installed for $300......... then you have a 07 sport for the low, low price of only $13140 EXTRA on top the 07 purchase price. All of this added little to no value to the residual resale value of your car, in fact it may have even caused your car to loose value because people assume it was in an accident.

Instead, you could sell the 07 in a year, and go buy a used 10 Sport. Put that $13140 into a savings account to put towards the purchased of a 10 sport. MUCH better use of money.

headlights will fit with the new bumper, there is another thread about it. and why do you need to paint headlights? and i think 2010 rear bumper, you need to get exhaust tips inserts as well

but my bottom line, if you have to change front and rear bumper just so you can put on the 2010 factory kits? forget it

All, thanks for the replies. I had thought that the aero kit was a bolt-on, and as such available from Lexus with factory paint. Referencing the diagram from sewell ( http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S460-2010.html ), it seemed the front and rear spoilers were a bolt-on since there were clips in the diagram.

I heard from someone too that they came with the bumper, so that's a no-go.

Now on to lowering and getting a new set of shoes for the LS..

The Vossen 083 look nice, but i don't know if the 19's clear the calipers. I want to go 19's (instead of 20's for the ride) and Tanabe NF210s. Any thoughts?

Again, this forum rocks. Been a longtime lurker until I got the LS.

i am not 100% sure, but actually i think the kits might come painted already (like other oem kits). however, 2010 has different front and rear bumper. so while these are bolt on, the shape might not fit 2007

factory ls460 comes with 18". so 19" vossen i am pretty sure they will fit. though look wise, i think 20" look better. but yes, ride will suffer of course

The 20's won't hurt the ride much if at all. I test drove 2 LS's in one week, a 460 touring and 600HL and my 99 LS400 with 20" Vossen VVS078's with Yokohama S.drives was smoother and quieter over the cobblestones in the intersection at Cerritos auto square.

Overall I have come to realize that tire choice makes more of a difference than up sizing. The S.drives are smoother and quieter on some roads than the stock tires were at stock height and equal to on most others. That was also a 4 inch up size.

Do your homework on tires and don't be afraid of the 20's or even 22's for that matter. find another member with 20's or 22's that can give you a test drive or ride along so you can see for yourself and get what you want based on real seat time. Good luck with your purchase.

yeah - do the Vossen's, I love mine... I have either the 082's or 083's (cant remember which - but you can see from these pics if they are the ones you like), but mine are in 22". I would not hesitate at all to recommend you go with the 20" Vossens, the way they are built makes them look a little bigger than they are, and 20's would not hurt your ride a single bit!!
22's do hurt the ride a little, and what really hurts is when you scrape them on the curb.

Also I would recommend getting them in 9" wide all-around (maybe it's 8" wide on the 20's), instead of staggering the widths... the tires are a huge price jump to fit the wider (10.5") rear rims, and you lose the ability to rotate them altogether since most tires in the class are unidirectional...

If I did it over again, I would stay with 22's but get 9" wide all around instead of staggered widths. But I also didnt lower my car and a lot of guys think I'm insane for not wanting to lower it - not crazy just practical. I don't want to screw with the car any more since I've had it for 3 years now and I dont see having it for much more than another 2 years.
Oh-also, Vossen has them engineered offset-wise, etc. to miss the calipers, so just order them to fit the LS460 and they will fit!

Good luck!
