Default How to replace Engine air filter?

Is it like this video? Or do I have to remove the plastic covers at the side too? Because there are a few clips I cannot get off .... I do not want to damage the covers...

Yes, it's a pretty straight forward task. Just pop the engine cover off and undo the snaps that hold the engine air filter covers on, I believe it's like 3-4 for each side, and pop them off, and there you go.
That's how I do it on my '13, but I'm not sure if it's that much different on your '07.

Yes, super simple, exactly like the video. You should only have to remove middle cover.

Both my air filters were replaced less than 1 year and 6k miles ago. Took both old ones out and despite being okay from the outside I saw fine dust caught between the pleats when they were separated. Replaced them both for under $25. I think I'm going to check them every 5k and possible replace on a yearly basis due to these findings. Don't think the car was particularly driven in a dusty environment (LA area). Slightly odd that they were so dirty since the manual says check/replace every 24-36k miles.
