Air Conditioning filter reminder reset
Re: My 2007 LS460 SWB with ML sound and Nav.
I regularly clean and/or replace my air conditioning filter (last time was last month).
Yesterday the maintenance warning (reminder) started to appear in my dash display at start up.
Owners Manual says to reset:
>Turn the engine switch to IG-ON mode (the second start button push with foot off the brake).
> Push and hold the A/C OFF button for more than 4 seconds ( I take the A/C OFF button to be the button found on the navigation screen by selecting the CLIMATE hard button, then the A/C button on the lower left of the nav screen).
I do this but the warning continues to appear at each start up.
Any suggestions?
As noted above, I have not recently physically removed the air conditioner tray or filter. By chance is there a sensor in the filter compartment that requires me to physically remove the filter/tray immediately before the warning can be reset? Or am I pressing the wrong button?
Pls advise.

Good question. I have almost 28K on my 07 and have never seen anything light up yet.
Although the dealer wants to change it out at 30K I plan on waiting until if and when I see a light somewhere and then will do it myself. I have two new ones waiting on the workbench.

Instead of using the A/C Off button on the Nav Screen you need to use the A/C Off button on the A/C control panel if your car has one - most do. It is sort of redundant and confusing.

Jim,
Not sure what you mean by A/C control panel. I have the navagation package. I have no A/C off "hard button" only what is on the navigation screen which comes up after I select the hard button named "Climate".
I do have a "hard button" named "OFF" which completely shuts down everything - fans, vents, heat, air conditioning, etc. Is this what you are referring to??
Thanks

Hold down the "OFF" button to shut off the hvac system, turn key to "On" while holding the button. after a couple seconds you will hear a beep.... the light is reset.

Thanks to all, also just heard back from my dealer.
Here's the procedure.
Without having foot on the brake, press the Start button twice to get to the IG-ON position.
Then press and hold the "hard" OFF button next to the "hard" Auto button. Hold the OFF button for approx 5 seconds and you hear several beeps. Warning is reset
The confusing part was the manual says the air conditioning off button, while the "hard" off button shuts off the entire hvac system as StlLexusTE points out.
