What is this forum opinion on extended warranty? My car has 25K miles and approx 10 months left of the 48/50K warranty and I was debating if I should add the comfort of a warranty to protect the later repairs if any of my 07-LS 460.
I looked into the Lexus premium extended warranty with Toby Rivers and his pricing is best in the market of warranties.

Contact him and ask him for rates on a Lexus Platinum zero deductible extended warranty. He beat the suggested retail price of the term requested by $730.00

I just finished a deal with Toby. He was great.
Started with a price on my current 2010 Lexus that beat the local dealer by $600.
Then asked him about my other 2006 Lexus nearing end of factory warranty and that price was great.

Then when I gave him both vehicles together, off came more money.
Wasn't quite 2 for 1 but saved me over a $1300 for both vehicles. Call him.

Jerry Johnson in Kansas, at a Toyota, Ford, Lincoln Dealership sells the Lexus Platinum Policy and knocked my socks off with his cheaper price than MY dealership. Once your car is 4 years from date of "in-service" and under 50,000 miles, he can add another 4 years up to 75,000 miles, or 100,000 miles, your choice. The 75,000 mile warranty is $1,765.00 and no tax if you are not in Kansas, and the 100,000 mile warranty is $2,485.00 and 4 more years. He beat my dealership, including no taxes, by $1,000 dollars.........and I'm telling you, that will get your attention if you own a LS-460. A very nice man. Jerry Johnson, 1-800-530-5789 or cell, 620-664-8844. He pulled my VIN# up in about 60 seconds and told me my "In-Service" date. This warranty covers about everything on the car except normal wear and tear items such as belts, hoses, breaks and trim items.

Come November, I'm buying one. I will sleep much better.

Just bought a 8 yr.75000 mile extended warranty for my 2009 LS 460 from Jerry Johnson at MIdwest Toyota. $1765, no tax. Very easy transaction. Beat my dealer's price by over $1100!

Great price......but Toby Rivers of Lexus of Shreveport- Bossier CIty, LA gave me the same price. Also a great guy to deal with. Frankly, I would not own a 460 if it wasn't under Factory Warranty. These prices these guys are giving are great, and just one issue with the car will pay for it. The 460 has too many bells and whistles to go wrong to not spring for a Lexus Platinum Warranty before your factory warranty expires. Wow, so just making sure...he saved you $1,250?!?! We all know there is a ton of markup in these warranty price tags, but that is pretty amazing! Toby is the man..very nice guy. I talked to him prior to buying my 600hL, but ended up just doing CPO wrap with my dealer since I was under 50K miles.

If he saved you that much, make sure you send an email to the store general manager and Toyota customer service about how well he took care of you from a customer service standpoint...don't mention $ numbers though...that good karma will come back around for you. Maybe you have done that already, but in case you haven't...help that dude out to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves.

And yes, you will use the warranty. My amp, which is a problem on LS's, was the first to go, but thankfully the warranty covered it.

Thanks for the all the info on these better deals from other dealerships. It doesn't matter if these dealers are miles away from you right?

The distance does not matter - it is a genuine Lexus warranty valid anywhere in the USA.

I have bought several warranties in the past from Jerry Johnson for previous Toyota vehicles and I am currently in the process of purchasing another for my recently acquired Lexus vehicle. His prices cannot be beat! And he is a pleasure to deal with.
