08 LS460 Shut Down and Won't Start Up
#92
Thanks everyone for the support. Sorry I haven't posted any thing. I've been kind of busy with everything.
They fixed the car a few weeks ago and got it to me while Corp. was in the process of buying the car back. I got the car back and everything was dirty. They did a car wash but under the hood and interior was all dusty. You see a layer of brown everywhere. I had to ask them three times to was under the hood and interior. First time they just sprayed water under the hood and forgot the interior. 2nd time the dried under the hood and didn't touch the interior. 3rd time they wiped most of the interior but still missed a good amount. I just left after that.
The car doesn't drive the same. The steering is a lot more stiff, the gear was stuck one time, car is not as smooth as it used to be (but it is still smooth). Overall, the car is whatever. I hope they don't try to resell this car or anything. It's just not the same as it used to be.
I'm not sure about the drivetrain warranty either. I think 6yrs sounds about right.
Anyways, Lexus Corp called last Thursday and schedule to pick up the car with a check in hand on Monday morning at the Lexus Dealership. My tired are bald so hopefully they don't check it otherwise I need to replace it and reschedule.
Thanks again for all the support. I will post another update as soon as I get rid of the car. I lost all my Lexus' so I'm not really on the forums anymore. See you guys in a little bit.

Hope things go well for you. Im shocked at how long you had to wait and feel the service they gave you from the start to the conclusion of your car issues isnt and hasnt been worthy of a luxury car purchase. Not cleaning the car in and out was just classless!!! They may try to pass that car of on someone though, cant say for sure of course but, business is business. Hope the next car you get helps ease the stress you felt from this experience sir!!! L.G.N.M

I met with Lexus corp. But my tread on my tires was too low. Three tires were bald so they said I would have to replace it before they take it back. Lexus was charging $320/tire with out install for Bridgestones. So instead I took it to my local shop and changed all four (they have to match) for a little less then $500. I'm meeting him tomorrow again to return the car. He said everything else is fine just the tires were a problem.

While I read this, it makes me hopeful. My ISF has been down for 93 days (at dealer) for an engine rebuild resulting from a valve spring problem. Maybe Lexus will see to do the right thing and replace my car.

I've been in 2 RX350s while waiting (was in one so long it came up for its next service). I can't drive the IS250, it looks the same inside (mostly) but is oh so disappointing when you step on the gas!
