Coincidentally I just replaced my factory OSRAM Xenarc 66440 HID headlight bulbs with OSRAM Xenarc 66440CBIs. The difference is very subtle but side by side you can see the new CBIs are pure white. Very surprised to see Lexus using such high quality bulbs as OEM, only made sense for me to improve upon them even if it's a marginal improvement. All in all the upgrade took a flat head screwdriver, 10mm deep socket and 2 hours which includes removing both front wheels with the factory jack and a jack stand.

I did replace both bulbs, just didn't post pictures :-)

Now, after a couple of months the right bulb is switching off after about ~30 min of driving :-(. Switching the lights off/on restores the light.

Is it a bad bulb or something else?

Most likely a bad bulb. Start with changing that

I know this is an old thread, but the right bulb turning on and off is a problem I had with a prior vehicle.

All it took to fix it was to clean the electrical contacts. I used Deoxit, because I have some, but there are other ways to accomplish the same thing.

edit: Dirty contact isn't an issue on this style of connector. I had one bad bulb and one which was close to bad.

Default How do I remove the plastic cover of the seat bealt at left lower corner of seat?

Regarding 2008 ls 600 hl.
I am trying to clean the seat belts.
I would like to remove the small plastic cover, which is located at the bottom corner of the front passenger seat.
Imagine the seat side view as an "L:. The one end of the seatbelt is anchored at the corner of this L.
There is a plastic cover, covering this anchor.
How do I remove this plastic cover? It does not seem to pop out easily.
Thanks

How heavy is the cleaning you're trying to do?

If the belts will need to be real wet I'd replace them. Most manufacturers recommend against cleaning them because it weakens the webbing.

Heres a DIY question. Can one "add" OEM dynamic cruse to a LS460L ? With Park assist and being self parking, it has a crazy about of outside sensors. Besides what is behind the grill, what else would there be as for hardware ?

I know behind the front grill needs a LEXUS LS460 SENSOR ASSY, MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR GENUINE part number #88210-50100 then it needs the lexus logo that is a slimmer one so the radar could go through it.

And a button to enable it.... what else is needed ?

I just want to know how to remove the plastic cover. I don't want to side track the question. Thank you.

Interesting question... One other thing to consider: radar cruise comes with PCS as well, and PCS adds another twist: the headlight assemblies are different as some sensors live there. What they do, I don't know, and I guess you could divorce PCS from radar cruise (provided those sensors in the headlights are only for PCS).

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I see the front grill sensor is like $600+ used. I am sure I could talk someone down but, dont want to dump $500+ on something if it wont work.

Anyone else have any thoughts here ? (or should I create a new thread on this?)

It pops UP. You can clean safely with Alcohol.
