my driver seat heater made my belt leave a mark on the seat
i noticed i have a black stain on my driver seat.
it is definatly my pant belt. it is a black stain approx 8 inches wide and has no stain where my belt loops are covering the belt.
has anyone noticed this?
i have had this belt for years so i would assume its been worn out by now.
i guess the element inside the seat is too hot?
is it something you think i sould bring to lexus attention?

The real question is why were you using seat heaters in Florida? And why didn't you turn off the heater before it became too hot? This is a user error. Nothing to do with Lexus.

first off, it didnt get too hot that if was burning me.
second, seat heaters can be used for cold weather and also bad back therapy.
but it was 38 degrees here the other night.
i dont think these seat heaters should cause a belt to leave a stain.
i hope i can get it out

Belts leave marks on upholstery from time to time, and it has nothing to do with your seat heater. It's the interaction of the dyes in the two leather objects.
Use a good leather cleaner.

Tell the dealer that it freaked out and went crazy hot... See what they say..

Hope you can get it solved, but like rominl said it's part of wear and tear. Sometimes for some fabrics, speaking in general, too much rubbing to get out a stain can make a potential problem bigger, so some amount of cleaning, reasonable, may be helpful to try.

lemme guess, do you have the tan interior? the lexus soft leather always absorb lots of dye easily on the tan leather, my older lx470 has this problem all the time. It make the seat look like it was sand papered with dirt, you need to leather condition it from time to time and clean it, so it will not absorb other colors.

Like others have suggested use a good leather cleaner. I had something similar happen to my 430 UL without the use of the heater, and the dealer used some leather cleaner and with multiple trys was able to get most of the stain out. Nothing has happened to the 460.... I am being extra careful. LOL.

that is very unfortunate. start using a cloth belt instead of leather. Try going at it with a microfiber towel and some leather cleaner, but I would try water first and a lot of elbow grease
