looking for input on pricing from recent buyer of 08 ls 460

I was at the dealer ready to drive off with an 08 ls460 l sticker $83k and was gonna accept their offer of $66250 but they said they ran out of the lexus coupons they had for $2000 off and priced it at $68250. So i walked!
Im still looking at a nice 08 with 7k miles loaded withut mark levinson for $58k.
But i prefer the new one id they matched their deal they tld me a week ago at the car show.
I didnt realize there were actual physical coupons they had and that they would run out!

The coupons are not for private customers. They are given to dealerships based on sales figures. They are called "closing coupons", and they are worth $1000 apiece.
A dealership can use 1 coupon on an RX, 2 on an LS. They allow a dealership to either knock some more money off a car, or they can be used to make a deal more profitable. It's up to the dealership.
But as I said, they only get a certain amount, and when they are gone, they are gone.
