I am soon to install the Wald roof spoiler and the trunk lid,How was yours attached to the car?,one place told me they use epoxy,my guess that would make it impossible to be removed if need be,for instance if the third brake light had to be changed the roof spoiler has to come off, and if its epoxied it will be a nightmare to remove and probably destroy the paint and sheet metal.I was thinking 3m molding tape, this way if it has to be removed you can take a heavy peice of monofilament (fishing line) ,work it under the spoiler back and forth to cut the tape, the rest is goo-gone and a finger nail to remove the existing tape,I mentioned this to this shop and they thought I was crazy and it would fly off, what are your thoughts,Also how are the front and rear bumper addons installed,I will take everyones 2 cents,Thanks in advance....

epoxy? 3m tape fly off? man, you should not go back to that shop anymore, they have NO IDEA what they are doing......

of course use 3m double sided tape. use the industrial grade one. with that one, and if applied correctly (wipe area with alcohol, etc..), you should worry about taking it off!!!!!!!

3m tape was what i used on all my previous cars (at least 3), and it was easily 3 years and there was no issue at all about anything being loose. and yes, using fishing line is the way to take it off, you hit it. afterward i am sure you can figure out ways to take off the remaining crap

do NOT use epoxy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply,Yeah I have the 3m automotive molding tape,I will never go to that place ever again,Im glad I told them I will install them myself and to top it all the paint job on them came out like crap,so I will give them a peice of my mind and then I will take them to my buddy to respray them,Wald gave me there # to get the peices locally,Last time I deal with that place it was called 212motoring.Rom,I thought I was crazy thanks for clearing that up for me I know your opinion is as good as gold,That shop told me they use epoxy all the time to install there aero kits,I looked at him like he was crazy, then I second guessed myselfUsing Epoxy is a real slop job,can you imagine installing the roof spoiler with epoxy,it would get in all the groves, nooks and crannys,I can see it now DISASTER!!!! See its always good to call the physician before doing anything. Thanks again .

lol thanks for the compliments. Whipple1, don't take my words as gold, i just know as much as any everyday joe out there always glad to help.

yeah epoxy should always be avoided, if a body kit piece is manufactured well, double sided tape should be good enough. maybe the shop you dealt with does a lot of knock offs or bad fitting body kits? if a kit is totally off, then maybe double sided tape is not "enough" to hold it in.

but wald roof spoiler? it fits like a glove
