Default Control Arm bushings gone...

Well, I'm having issues with the control arm bushings. Lexus said they won't replace due to aftermarket wheels. This is unbelieveable, definetly time for a change...

OK, let's recap. Idler pullies went bad, ML subs blown, b pillars damaged, control arm bushings, bad brakes(replaced rotors and pads at 8k).I'm waiting to see what else I'm in store for.The car is not lowered. I could understand if I had some junky heavy wheels but A/C 3 pc wheels with the o.d's in spec, come on!

i am not sure if toyota/lexus has JUST the bushings. from my experience with previous lexus models, you will basically need to get the whole new control arm as replacement

This is really making me think twice about getting 22's with the air suspension controller. Has anyone else had problems with the control arm bushings?

Copied this from another forum I play around in and should be of good use for you with the dealer problems you are experiencing.

unless there are real direct proof of the control arm bushings with the wheels/lowering, i wouldn't believe the dealership yet

Your situration is the exact reason why I allways keep my stock parts when my car is still under warrenty.

Did you keep your stock wheels? If so why not put them back on then take it in for warrenty work. Maybe try another dealer?

more than likely they already put in the computer that the car has aftermarket wheels and warranty gone, etc...

and that's accessible nationwide i believe

Your profile says GS400 but I am assuming you now have the LS460?

That list is insane. Take it up the corp ladder. I have to believe Lexus would be concerned with such problems.
