Thanks. Just put the Michelin's on the car. WOW! They are really nice. Very quiet and comfy. Will need to see how they due next time it snows. Very nice so far. I have always like Michelin tires.

please keep us posted on the michelin as/2.......i have been thinking those same tires, but after the CR citing that they don't perform as well, I've been leaning towards the pilot sport s/2

I'm not very happy with my Bridgestones either.
When I went to the Michelin site and punched in the 460 SWB it recommends the Michelin® Pilot® MXM4.
Anyone have any experience with these?

There are several Michelin® Pilot® MXM4 -- I chose the "W" rated tire. I think they're better than the "V" or other lower letter values.

My tire dealer said the MXM4 was out of stock so he suggested the Pilot A/S. Also, the reviews online were as good if not better for the A/S so I took them. I drove the car with my dealer so they could see the difference and they even commented how smooth they were. The real test will be weather. My dealer suggested Blizzaks (sp?) for winter but I hate changing rims and tires twice a year. So, let's see what happens. Keep me posted on the MXM4 as well.

OEM tires for the most part arent very good, with proper research you can easily find superior tires for the same price or in some cases cheaper than OEM. Bro has MXM4 as OEM on his TSX, they are extremely loud when they start wearing down, grip is eh, tire rack reviews of that tire arent good either.

I was at the dealership today getting my oil changed and the service manager asked me about my tires (stock Dunlap 18'). I told him that they were crappy and almost bold in 1 year (8k miles). He said "are you surprised?!?!" and took me to the showroom. They had 3 2008 Ls's on the floor and all of them had a sticker on the window that states something like this " This vehicle is equipped with high performance tires that will last 20000 miles" I did not have this on my 07 LS and was very surprised. He said when I bring the car for the next oil change, they'll inspect the tires and if they are bold, he may be able to get me a new set form Lexus.

so far I have 18,000 miles on the stock Dunlop 18" ... They aren't the worst tires that I have ever had and they are not the best... I would just say average ... From my guestimate I would say that I have about 10,000 to 15,000 left on them before I will have to replace them since they are less than half worn down.
