It's that bad with the Noble Spinel on the LS460 ?

I always thought it's an absolutely gorgeous paint to look at in person, especially under the sun. Yes I understand some might wonder whether red paint is the most suitable color on a car this size, I've wondered about that myself, & had at one time dropped it from consideration. But after I saw a couple times a LS460 SWB in Noble Spinel near where I live, I was reminded again why I like it so much, that why I'm considering it again.

I've never saw a Noble Spinel in LWB in person, but here's a picture of a LS460L, I actually think it looks really good

We don't have Opaline Pearl in Canada for the LS, they just cancelled the Glacier Frost available for the 2007 LS but did not replace it with another color.

I personally don't really like white for the LS460 although the paint is nice, & I absolutely have zero interest in silver. The Verdigris is not for me either.

Some more pics of the Truffle Mica in this thread too : http://sr1.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288126

The paint has a slightly brownish hue but are not easy to see unless under certain lighting conditions.

As to the color choice, I checked the Lexus web site but couldn't find a "Truffle" color....although Henry says he has seen it. If it were my car, I'd order it first White (Starfire) Pearl, second Noble Spinel, and third Black Sapphire, which is actually a dark blue. IMO you can't go wrong with either the White Pearl or the Noble Spinel (although, unfortunately, the even more gorgeous Matador Red is not offered on the LS).
I actually like the Noble Spinel Mica better than the Matador Red because it has less of an Orange hue on it & is a little darker, but I agree Matador Red is gorgeous & is still my favorite paint available for the IS350

i guess it might be dependent on the lighting. the one you show the picture above, it looks better. but i saw one at dealership before together with the other colors and it just looks weird.

but of course, you know my preference and i am on the conservative side

The red color surely will stand out a lot more. I actually like the wine red color on the S550 & even the 7-series too, I've seen both in person.

Have you seen the movie TAXI ? (with Queen Latifa & Jimmy Fallon), there's a 7-series in that movie with I think an even brighter red & I think it looks attractive, & I normally don't even care for the 7-series . . .

Well isn't Noble Spinel very close to Royal Red?

I'd post a pic of my Noble Spinel Mica, but I have to figure out how to do it again!

Congrats Andrew!! Nice upgrade. As for color I'd go with the Black Sapphire as I think its the best color outside of Black Opal which is only available on the 600.

I think I've read you want the black leather somewhere before, but want the gray wood, so is thinking of the possibility of swapping with someone right ? I think swapping might have a problem though unless you want a gray steering wheel to go with your black dash & leather.
No, I won't be replacing the gx with anything.

Ooops, I had a brain fart when I put down noble spinel.
Forgot that it was the reddish color. Since you mention the red 7 in Taxi, it's a lot brighter. The noble spinel is a little darker, almost burgandy.
Not my choice personally.

Out of your list I would pick the black sapphire. Me personally, I would go for the coffin/tombstone look=black on black since I never had a black car before As much as I like the greywood, I like the black leather more.
Besides, it's cheaper to restain the regular wood

Yeah, the grey steering will look stupid with the black steering wheel

[QUOTE=Nospinzone;3110156] I really wanted a navy blue color but of course that isn't offered. QUOTE]

Black Saphire Pearl looks like a very dark blue from the sample in the brochure. I guess this is a close is it is to Navy for now. Has anyone seen how this looks on an actual car?

Yes I have, I actually test drove a SWB with Black Sapphire, looks really good on the car & the paint looks very nice under the sun, that's why it's one of my top picks
