I've done it to both of my LS's. Easiest way to not touch factory wiring is to install an aftermarket hid kit for the fog lights, then wire it up on seperate circuit with relay to the battery and connect it to a 12v source that turns the relay off when car is off...downside is you will need a seperate switch to turn them on and off..the factory switch is useless.
On my 600, this time I had a friend who happens to be an audio installer genius who wired up the lights seperately using factory switch but turns off with car. He installed a hidden switch that allows me to switch the system back to oem function whenever I want....it's beyond pimp! Don't ask me how he did it....he prides himself on being the first to ever do that mod that way...now, he has so graciouslly performed that mod on my car! About 1.5 hours worth of work to do it right...the first method I mentioned can be done in less than 20 minutes lol.

either way you do it... its going to require running wires.. its just a matter of how many an where too..just make sure all 12v circuits are fused an you should be fine..

yeah thats what i wanted to do how you have it. i am just lazy running a switch from the engine bay into the cabin. i know on my gs i just spliced into a wire to by pass the switch where the headlights need to be on in order for the fogs to work. i want to know how you did yours.

If you are ok with losing the oem switch functionality, just take it to a stereo shop and have them run you separate circuit with your aftermarket HID kit..labor on that should be $75 or less if you aren't comfortable with wiring yourself. You would need aftermarket HID 9006 kit, relay, wire, switch
