If you have the Transmission software update done and you decide later for gas milage reason you would like to have it program back according to my dealer it can not be done, it makes no sense to me but allot of things that Lexus has done with this car makes no sense to me.

I had it done 2 months ago and have noticed no change in gas mileage.

For some reason that reminds me of some Microsoft service updates that cannot be disinstalled either.

Why would you want to? I had mine done an I haven't noticed that much of a difference in fuel economy...

man, mallory, the glove box in your car is really cursed, isn't it...

Mallory, I think Lexus used some cheap paint or something on the dash and other parts of the interior. My dash has an un even color to it and the dealer asked what I used to clean it. I hadn't touched the dash. They used some glass cleaner on it and took some of the white looking stuff away. My LS 430 had higher quality materials for the interior. This is my 5th Lexus, so I think I know what I'm talking about as far as quality. Sorry to hear about your glove box. The ES 350 also has it's share of problems. Transmission and engine...

Finally had the transmission software update done. I love the shifting now. It is much more responsive than it was before the update. I drove a mix of local roads and highways and I didn't see any change in the gas mileage either.
