How Much?
I was visiting a Northern California dealership today to inquire about the LS 600hL and was told that they only have the "Neimann Marcus" Launch edition, and that the "regular" LS 600HL doesn't show up until at least another month.
Is it really true that certain options will never be available on anything but the Launch edition? I could care less about the Neimann Marcus stitching or special limited edition gear shifter, but is Lexus really only going to make certain safety features (Face monitoring or whatever they call it) available on the Launch edition?
Also here in Northern california the Launch edition of the LS600hL is going for way way over MSRP, as in I can purchase 2 decked out LS460L's for what they want for the Launch edition...

At least for the 2008 cars. 2009? Who knows.

My LS hybris is a "regular" model, not a Launch Edition. The communication to customers is terrible. That said, I love the car and wouldn't have wanted face monitoring anyway. I could also have done w/o the parking assist.

I paid MSRP. My dealer is great and doesn't play mark-up or trick-up games. Thus, I have bought 5-6 cars from them. I was also on their list from the very early, possibly a year or more - when the earliest new came out.

Not exactly a window sticker but a St. Louis Lexus dealership has a $115,000+ LS 600h L, apparently no PCS listed:

They have to make it special enough to justify the Launch Edition. Just making the Truffle Mica paint exclusive to it (but available in other markets to any LS) & the different rims would not be good enough to justify it.
