metallic tints tend to interfere with the antenna's in ur car..
although i've never had any problems with our metallic tints in the previous cars.. it does degrade AM reception!

I have no problem w/ reception or tires, but was wondering what everyone else thinks about tinting the actual windshield ???

i would do it if i could.. but really light.. maybe 70%..
blocks the UV, helps protect the interior~

I think 70% is the standard on all cars. There is a clear UV sheild that you could consider if it is just the UV you are worried about.

Usually when describing tint, you reference the amount of light that passes through the tint. So for dark limo tint, usually around 5%, not so dark 20%, even lighter 35%, some states allow only 60% on front door windows. Not sure what most cars come with nowadays, but they do have some UV protection.
