Fuel Economy - here's mine, what's yours?
I've had my LS 460 SWB for just over one month. So far the readout on the center display is bang on with my "at-the-pump" calculation with 1/10 of a liter. I live on a hill, and work on the flats, so my driving profile would be a 50/50 mix.
My City/Highway gas consumption is thus: 12.8 liters/100 km = 18.3761393 miles/gallon(US)

I've had the car for almost 5 months now and all of my driving is city with average of 24.x mph and I get about 13.5 mpg. I think it's bit on a low side but i kind of expected it for a 4.6 liter engine. I'm a bit concerned now that I'm hearing what others are getting. I'll ask my dealer next time I'm there.

One good observation to make is set the "Multi-Information Display" to Average Fuel Consumption "after a fill-up". You can then easily see that merely idling at a traffic light really sucks up a lot of gas, and brings the "Average Fuel Consumption" number up real quick. I know red lights are hard to avoid in the City, but it may assist you to consider other more efficient routes. It also helps to tone down lead footing - unless that punk next to you really is asking for a spanking.
Yes, it's somewhat paradoxical to expect good fuel economy driving a five thousand pound car, but if we are pitiful victims of our materialistic wants, and we are hopelessly price conscious at the same time, every little bit helps.
