I currently have a 2001 LS430 with ultra package and have enjoyed the semi-aniline leather door armrests. I know this is available on the 2007 LS460L , but have not seen it listed as an option on the std wheelbase. I have, however, seen the leather armrests on a std wheelbase vehicle at the Taste of Lexus event, as well as a dealer training vehicle at the dealership. My sales rep says he thinks the leather armrests come with the comfort plus pkg, however, it is not listed. If anybody knows for sure if the leather door armrest are available on the std wheelbase 460, I would appreciate it.

I recently saw two SWB LS 460's at a dealership. One had leather armrests and the other did not. Aniline leather was not mentioned on the sticker but the car with the leather armrests did have did have the Comfort Plus package versus the Comfort package.

None of the cars including the 460L had leather on the glovebox like in the 430 Customs and Ultras.

What does aniline mean?
Isn't that some kind of chemical?

Is it a process that leather goes through to make it soft?

Yes, aniline leather is softer and is dyed all the way through.

Thanks, i have it in the LS430, but we didn't really shop other LS's when we got it.

Edit: What does semi-aniline mean then? Or am I not thinking of the right term.

I have a short wheelbase with the comfort plus package and it has the leather armrests - nice feel to them.

Does any of the LS460L configurations have leather on the glove box ? Or is it exclusive to the LS600hL ? I hope not

maybe on the exec package? i remember reading in another thread. on the ls460l i sat in, i didn't recall the leather glove box

the ls600hl i think the whole dash is leather
