I had a neat opportunity to do a little R&D on the new LS yesterday.
The folks at Lexus USA are a fantastic bunch... even offered me cookies, drinks, ice cream, etc. They have a half-court basketball set-up in their technical training center... they treat their employees almost as well as they treat their guests!

The new LS has a different bolt pattern from the past Lexus cars... this will throw a few wheel companies a little curve Now that I have the basic tech data, we'll be testing 21" and 22" wheel on this car next week.

This is a beatuifully made car, I sat in the standard and long wheelbase cars, even played with the power rear seats in the LWB car. I don't usually like black cars, but the black/black combo is yummy! The suspension on the new LS is a work of art. The links and sway bars are all uniquely shaped to provide optimal articulation and geometry- really neat to see this in person.

I want one... enjoy the pics!

The red one is my favorite pic...would I get that color to drive? I make that call when I see them in person. For now I am leaning towards the dark Blue.

Different bolt pattern eh ? didn't really expect that . . .Yeah I like the dark red paint on the car the more I see it, it should go well with the Cashmere/medium walnut interior.
If I go for SGM or black exterior, I would go with black leather.

I really like the new silver/blue color in your first pic! Seen that on an IS and it looks just fantastic!

What I really want to see is pics of the custom paint job on your GS, Bob. Come on now, share some pics!

The black one is awesome looking!

Side note: can you get the black wood trim with black leather on the new LS, or just with the grey leather?

Default At the Taste of Lexus associate event...

they made a big deal about the 19" OEM wheels/tires which come on the touring package will NOT fit on the other models at all without rubbing because the steering racks and suspensions are different. If you can make 20's and 21's work that would be quite a feat. The whole idea of going bigger rim is to go to a wider tire so it might be difficult to achieve...
The photoshop looks nice though.

No, & the the wood trim that comes with grey leather isn't black, but dark grey, similar to that found in the 3GS . . .

Default White

The white 460 you show in the second picture is "bright white" looking to me, and much whiter than the starfire pearl in the brochure, which is the only white going to available. The Starfire pearl is an off-white with some brown in it. I'm wondering what's going on...

Pictures are never a reliable depiction of how the paint would look like on the car in person.

True, but it is clear that the picture above is very white, and definitely not the starfire pearl.
