How does this compare...
In your opinion, how does this front end compare to the new LS?
I know the back end doesnt have a prayer.
Because this car is not in the same class, the inside isnt quite up to the LS long wheelbase, but it has all the same features as the short wheelbase plus some options that arent sent to north america such as HUD and minidisc.

Too conservative for me.
And too outdated in design. The chrome body moulding kills me. Front face is bumpy like it has fat jowls. Rear end is very Acura-ish.
Interior looks like it came from an 80's.
If Lexus is trying to be progressive, it seems that Toyota in Japan is anchoring their roots with traditional comfort design...

Actually you hit it right on the head. Unlike most companies, they seem to create cars for every segment but also every personality type too.
The new LS is a Toyota creation, but to go for world domination i guess they have to be progressive like the german competitors. It seems that back at home in Japan, the conservative look is still king (considering that the Crown series has always been the leader in its class).

This is why Crown series cars outsell BMW+MB (together) in Japan.
