Guys keep it civil please otherwise this thread will be locked.
Flipside909 spent many personal hours working with Lexus corporate to allow select CL members a sneak peak of the new LS. We received permission to announce new information and pictures. We do not need to brag about who's first to do so.
A LS460 forum will be up shortly, we are waiting for Flipside to post first as a courtesy to him. He/we could have easily bragged about this a month ago when it all began, but real vip's don't need to brag.
Let's just enjoy the pictures and there is a great Rominl joke story behind all this as well. I'm sure you will all get a good chuckle out of it as we sure did.

oh and btw, i actually had to make myself stupid and asked the ls460 specialist about the headlights.....

(specialist all confused) "umm.... it's just either on or off, you can't control the brightness"
"oh ok, yeah that's what i thought too. don't worry about it, i just had to ask coz' i read something very weird from someone"

But see the difference is, we were invited to see it in a private location and was able to play with the buttons, crank up the 19 speaker Mark Levinson and hear it start up and get driven away. We didn't badger, beg or con the people at the autoshow to sit in it. Plus we were fed a very nice lunch...now that's first class VIP service.
And only 4 lame car pictures so far that don't show anything.
But glad you had a great time. Must have been great.

What was interesting was the S500(european model) was right next to the LS. Initially, I didn't see ANYONE flock to that car. I guess the excitement was the new LS, but I didn't even bother to check out the new S myself considering I haven't check out the new S in person.
After being able to compare the 2 cars hands-on, I still couldn't get excited about the new S class, mind you we are considering trading in our w220 for LS or the 221. After that event, definitely not the 221.
But wow, that LS interior is
Don't want to sound ungrateful BUT don't want to rub in anybody's face but thank to flipside and all personnels for putting this together.

Notice that I didn't buy both of my cars until their second model year . . .

Notice that I didn't buy both of my cars until their second model year . . .regarding the s550. it was the first time i touch it in person, and after checking it out in details, i only hate the car even more. the exterior is pretty ugly as is already to me, and the interior is just way down... maybe it looks good to a 60 yr old but to me it's so boring, so old, i can never live with that...
in any case, i will make a post about the car when the "official release" of this even is out
