Automatic parking system, first previewed on the Toyota Prius.
You simply use the touchscreen to highlight the spot where you want to park, and the car will automatically do it for you, with your only inputs being your foot on the brake to make corrections/adjustments.
Very handy for parallel parking.

I like it overall. Very nice.
The exterior is a bit bland. Based on pics, I like the more aggressive 2007 S550. The A8 is still the most classic and prettiest car in this class. The 2007 LS is certainly better looking than the ugly 7 series, although I do see some resemblance in the profile. The LS just did it better than the 7 though.
The interior is pretty generic, but still tops in class, about equal to the A8 interior.
Acceleration seems to be about equal to the S550 (5.3s tested) and 750i (5.4s tested). Of course, the Germans cost about $15k more, guess prestige counts for something. Wonder when the S and the 7 are going to get direct injection.

I think the dark gray one is the SWB and the silver one is LWB, right? To me the dark gray one looks better. The LWB one looks like the car was made of clay and 'stretched' so the side profile middle looks 'thin'.
Other than that, I love many aspects of the car - the front grill looks BEAUTIFULLY integrated. The wheel fitment looks decent for a Lexus, and I'm DROOLING over the HUGE nav screen..
And Gene, saying you want to use an iPod instead of uploading the music is kinda silly - you'd want to find music with that tiny device vs. using that monster screen?
I hope it has wi-fi so data can be easily transferred.
Everyone's asking why only the right rear seat on the LWB reclines with the foot rest - the reason I suspect is you probably need the front seat far forward to fit it and that wouldn't work for the driver. The right rear seat will be for Miss Daisy.
If one day I can afford one I'd get the SWB version though.
Way to go Lexus.
