Great deal! Paid +$1100 for mine with an extra 15K on the ticker, but I also wanted the air-ride.

Not sure if you posted it already (didn't see when I skimmed again), but what packages came installed?

Congrats on your new car, JR! I applaud your patience and enjoyed reading that you (and your wife) both love the car. What a great find and the car looks amazing! Happy motoring, my friend.
Thanks! I looked around for a long time and this one felt like "the one". I know you're kicking tires as well. I kept mental track over the years of cars that were for sale of varying years, mileage, CPO vs. non-CPO and got a very good feel for the value of certain things in my market. Ex: I knew what I expected to see a 2010 LS priced at vs. a 2012 LS with the exact same mileage (in essence I knew what "2 years" were "worth"). This one was a no-brainer because it came out cheaper than anything I had seen in the past and was in immaculate condition, plus it was the "L" model which carries a slight price premium anyway.

I figure if I drive my cars easy they will re-pay me the favor down the road... certainly has worked on my last two LS's - I sold my '96 at 220k miles (approx) and my '04 at 248k. I once timed myself accelerating from 0mph-35mph and think it took like 15 seconds..! I didn't believe it so I tried again, and got same result within 2 tenths of a second! Now with the Levinson, I just turn up the music a little louder so I can't hear people honking at me...

Nice! Glad to meet a fellow "L" owner. I'm not good with naming conventions of the different models- but I can tell you what it does and doesn't have- maybe you can tell me what I have..!
- Levinson: yes
- Air ride: no
- Rear executive seat package (reclining seat, massaging seat): no
- Rear heated seats: yes
- Rear cooled seats: no
- Rear motorized window shades: yes
- Rear center armrest controls: only the window shades - I have seen pics where it looks like the rear passengers can control all kinds of things, but on mine it's just a big piece of wood grain.

I have a feeling I got the lowest model "L" they make given I'm missing out on some features. I can't imagine they make too many variations of the "L" but I certainly could be wrong as I'm not overly familiar with the "L" model.

Check out this brochure to figure out which packages you have --> http://www.lexus.com/documents/broch...S-Brochure.pdf

As for mine, I have the Comfort Package, Luxury Package, and NAV/Mark Levinson Package. I don't see any others that I simply couldn't live without so I'm happy

you did really well on that car, from the price to the cars specs

I have the exact same car as you , only mine doesn't have the ML, and does have the air ride , both of which I'm not exactly thrilled about but I take the good with the bad
