Default Drive shaft Flexjoint/Couplers problems

Hi I'm new to Clublexus. I have the same issue, I just bought an 2008 LS460 found out i needed a new driveshaft flex coupler. Dealer won't sell it separately and I refuse to buy a whole shaft for $1k just to get the coupler. I had search and read lots of forum but was not able to conclude a result. Does anyone know a match up that I can use. Any partnumber would greatly help. Attach is a pic of what I'm looking for. Driveshaft flex joint coupler

These are used on many cars, but for whatever reason Lexus doesn't show the part number as a stand-alone from the driveshaft assembly. It looks like there are two of them, one at each end of the driveshaft. You might try to get the bolt circle diameter and sleeve inside diameter of the LS460 part, then match it up to one of the many that are available. These are also called "Guibo Discs".

So after taking my apart and measuring it. Where would I go to finding all the spec of what's available? I try asking Lexus them self and they won't even want to provide me a list of available parts they have for other cars nor give me any diagrams or partnumber cuz they said they don't recommend using any other parts then buying the whole driveshaft. I will need more info. Please see what you can provide me. I'm so frustrated over this issue. Much thanks. Also everyone is welcome to chim in as well. Thanks all. Oh and thanks Tec80 I had sent the questions to the add you provided to see if the flex joint will come with the parts. So far no replys. I'll drop in some notes and update later.

You could buy the newest/lowest mileage-used driveshaft and be on your way...search for that disc at a later date: car-parts.com

Thanks for the advice Superdenso, but my disc looks so bad it could give in any day. That's why I'm so frustrated and needed one asap.

Best to start a new thread for the camber issue. Otherwise people will not know about it. Many CLers don't read every thread.

These Giubo joints are easy to find for BMW, but not so much for the LS. I replaced them on my 7 Series BMW back in the day and it was a fairly simple job. Im not sure why its so hard to find for the LS. I've searched everywhere for you, but no joy. You shouldn't have to get the entire driveshaft.

I know right. It's so ridiculous Lexus is trying to make us buy the whole shaft. Well at least now I have an extra shaft incase my goes out.
